Frank Battersby has worked on several of Cinecontacts award winning documentaries for the last ten years, both as cameraman and as a director. Emily Marlow has had over fifteen years experience working in both television and on development issues. In the last three years Emily and Frank have worked on a variety of projects both broadcast and non broadcast in Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, Ukraine, Kosovo and other countries in West Africa.
Over the years their extensive work has covered a diverse range of subject matter - from refugee camps in Tanzania and Burundi to disarmament depots in Liberia, Sri Lanka's no-man's land and UN missions in Sierra Leone, East Timor and the Balkans. They have also worked in Yemen, Iraq, Somalia, Israel and Ukraine. They have worked with all major international agencies including the United Nations, the World Bank and the EU as well as a variety of private sector organisations and high profile individuals. Increasingly in the last couple of years their focus has been on supporting the economic development of post conflict countries such as Sierra Leone through the production of media output designed to attract inward investment.
